My Impressions on Kate's Look!

Hello girls!
It's been a while since I haven't updated my blog, this week has be kinda stressful.
As you can tell, I'll be talking about Kate Middleton... Now just let me tell you first that I'm not among those who stared at the TV the whole day just to see this wedding because I sincerely don't get the big fuss.
The only reason I opened the TV and watched 5 minutes was to see her makeup and her dress.
Here's my impression.
The Dress!
I think this dress suited her wonderfully. I think long sleeves are sorta weird for a wedding dress but she really pulled it off, because they were slightly transparent. The detailing on the top of the dress is super gorgeous, and I love how her waist is sucked in. The bottom of the dress looks very classy and simple, yet the tray added the "royal" aspect to the dress. There isn't too much cleavage being shown and her bouquet is a very decent size. However, when she got in the carriage, I must say I was sorta surprised to see how thin she really is. As she bent to get into it, we could see that she looked pretty bony.

The Makeup!

I heard Kate was going to do her own makeup for her wedding. If she did, I have to give her huge props, because it looks flawless! Her skin looks impeccable, and the overall look is just so natural and lets her inner beauty shine through. The only thing heavier on the face is the blush, and it looks great! You know, the blushing bride... She looks absolutely radiant and I don't have a bad thing to say about it! She justs looks like herself.

Now, some of my favorites clichés I've stumbled upon!
OMG YUM!
Now that's a hot ride...
Is it weird that I was expecting more bling?
May I ask.. what's with all the kids?? Who are they? lol

Up, up and away: The couple walked across a gravel path in the palace gardens to a waiting maroon helicopter which whisked them away for their honeymoon
And that's how they went to their honeymoon! Lucky them...
Looks like someone was bored... or annoyed!

Pastels & Animal Print!

Another fashion post! Bet you weren't expecting that!
Today's post is dedicated to two very popular trends: pastels and animal prints.

As far as pastels go, you want to make sure they don't wash you out. There are different "intensities" of pastel colors, so you just want to make sure the shade you're wearing isn't very close to your skin tone (talkin' about pink pastel here). Also, you might wanna consider adding a bit of "pop of color" into your outfit, while making sure that it's not too intense for the delicate feel you're mostly going for. I'd suggest browns and greys, not black.

Now, for the animal prints, there aren't really any rules except this crucial one: avoid combining different types of animal print, especially in adjacent pieces. For example, don't wear a leopard print shirt and a zebra print blazer, get it? If you're really a huge fashionista, you might get away with two different prints in your outfit, but it is not recommended.

Why did I include both of these trends in one article? Because I think they go together wonderfully! Now, I wish I mixed the different patterns and colors better while creating this outfit. If you notice, I've only got pastel blue/turquoise on my hands, and pastel pink on my upper body, same for the leopard print. But, I hope you get the general idea and intention of this outfit and I hope you like it!

Fashion Addiction!

Hello readers!
So, as you can probably tell, my blog is becoming more oriented towards fashion as I thought it would... But who cares, right? I think it may be the fact that my channel is more makeup oriented. Thing is, I'm not a very fashionable person! Lately however, I've been looking into fashion more than ever!

So, I wanted to share with you guys two new addictions I have...
Now the first one is sorta immature... It's an app I purchased on my iPod TODAY and it's called "Fashion Story". You basically create a boutique, sell items, visit other people's boutiques, etc. It's not that fun when you think of it, it's just addicting!
Okay... my second obsession is more "realistic". It's the website Elle & Blair Fowler did a video on... www.boutiques.com!
Basically, you go through items and sort of determine your style. And then you can follow other boutiques, browse through other people's styles, and discover so many awesome pieces! You can even purchase the pieces you like.
If you want to follow my boutique, it's called "Simply Alexx".
If I may say, that's sorta my fantasy wardrobe! Some items on there I couldn't afford, but they are amazing!

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this little blog post..
Gotta go sell some more clothes! ha ha ha

Day to Night Spring Outfit!

Another fashion post! I know.. This is sorta my dream closet going on right now on this blog...
Anyways, I had a bit of fun on Polyvore today and came up with a day-to-night spring outfit. I tried to keep as many of the pieces used in the day and just intensified a bit the night look.
Hope this is inspiring!
