Hey!
So I was tagged by Josiannel1507 to do this tag which is very simple: list 7 things about yourself.
I figured I'd just do it since it could help you to get to know me better. :)
Here we go:
1. I don't really watch TV, only at my dad's house, which is two weekends a month!
2. I always wanted to have a pink highlight in my hair.
3. I had a phase when my MSN nickname was "Dark Angel"... I was sorta emo/punk, but only on the inside.
4. I reaaaally love children, but I don't want many. 2 is ideal. :)
5. I love professional clothes, even if I'm not working yet! They're just so classy...
6. I've always loved race cars (big fan of F1!), but I'm a pretty safe driver... I don't speed.
7. I don't like apples, except if they're cut.
I tag anyone who feels like doing it! You could just list your answers in the comments!

Fun hair for an...hour?
Hey!
So, a week ago, if I remember right, I wanted to do something different with my hair. It's naturally very straight, and I wanted something with more volume and curls. Here's what it looks like:
So, I followed a tutorial posted by Miss Jessica Harlow a while back which I couldn't find now, but here's what it looks like before and after:
Hiding my school's name on my uniform, not touching my boob. lol |
So here's what I did:
- Separate your hair into small sections.
- Twist a section really tightly and wrap it around 2 fingers.
- As you get close to your scalp, gently remove the piece from your fingers and pin it to your head.
- Do the same with all the pieces.
- Sleep on it or hold it for an hour.
- Remove pins gently and separate the pieces.
- Use hairspray or mousse or scrunching gel.
WHY DID IT ONLY HOLD AN HOUR FOR ME?? Because I didn't have hairspray.. just mousse and scrunching gel. And it was raining that day. So yeah..but it was fun while it lasted!

5 Fashion No-No's!
Hey fashion lovers!
I'm feeling inspired for fashion posts lately, as you can see. Don't worry, I'm not very fashionable, so enjoy these while they last! I thought I'd just share with you this video I stumbled on. It talks about 5 fashion mistakes that can make us look older and out of style! Enjoy :)

The First Day of Spring!
Hello!
Today's the first day of spring in Canada, and it sure looks like it! The sun is shining, the sky is almost clear. They are announcing a high of 5 degrees Celsius today, which is pretty amazing! The snow has melted on the streets and sidewalks, all that's left is a bit of snow in people's backyards. It's just a very cheerful day!
By the way, fun fact that will make this first day of Spring memorable: my brother woke me up because he found a BIRD in our kitchen. A bird! It got in through the cooker hood...and it pooped all over the place! Let's just say mom wasn't very happy to clean bird sh*t first thing on a Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, I doubt that Winter is done for good. Usually, we get snow in April, so Winter might make a comeback in the following weeks. However, maybe, (and this is the only good thing I see about global warming), we're actually done with that nasty cold weather!
Obviously, Spring means the end of the school year is getting nearer, which I personally cannot wait for, because I can't wait for prom!! Mine is on June 27th, if you're wondering.
Even though the weather will be gorgeous today, I'll be stuck at the library, finishing off some school work. I have loads of projects and homework to hand in during the next two weeks, which is making it pretty hard to..have a life.
Anyways, hope you are blessed with awesome weather and if so, hope you take advantage of it and get out of the house!

Rock The Floral!
Hey girls!
I was feeling inspired for another "Trends" post! Personally, I think this is going to be my favorite one EVER.
It's the oh-so-70's floral trend!
Again, it was modernized, using more interesting cuts and colors, but it's essential the same thing! Obviously, worn the right way, you won't look like you're stuck in that era.
Not sure how to rock this trend? Here are my pointers:

Again, it was modernized, using more interesting cuts and colors, but it's essential the same thing! Obviously, worn the right way, you won't look like you're stuck in that era.
Not sure how to rock this trend? Here are my pointers:
- Avoid mixing floral patterns together. You could wear a floral shit and a floral bracelet, but floral shirt and floral pants are really hard to pull off. You'll most likely look like a hippie.
- Avoid mixing floral with another print. If you really want to, use "opposite" prints. Floral is really feminine and sweet, so maybe try going to a more geometrical print if you absolutely want to mix them. Also, just to be safe, try not having the pieces close one to the other. Shirt and shoes, not pants and shirt, get it?
- Try modernizing your floral print by adding bold accessories.
- Choose colors that compliment your skin color, not colors that wash you out! Those will probably make you look like you haven't updated your wardrobe in 40 years!
Just as in the other article, here are some pieces that might help you start out your floral collection:

Embrace the Stripes!
Hello fashion slaves!
As I get other "Trends" articles up, I'll create a look showing you how you can mix all these popular Spring and Summer trends. Hope you enjoyed this!
I'm going to be doing a couple of articles labelled as "Trends", which will include popular styles of makeup or clothes. You might see similar articles all over the Internet, since I get my ideas from magazines and celebs. I'm not coming up with this, duh!
Today's trend that will be discussed is...stripes!
This trend can be kinda difficult to pull off, but I'll give you some pointers!
- If you are very "flat" and don't have a lot of curves, going for larger, horizontal stripes will help add a bit of curves to your body.
- If you are very curvy, large horizontal stripes might make you look too roundish. You might want to consider thiner stripes, and perhaps vertical or asymmetrical.
- If you feel like stripes might expose too many aspects you consider as the "flaws" of your body (maybe big curves, or extra unwanted weight), you could always go for a more flowy piece, that won't reveal too much of that.
With that said, you can play with the stripes in order to get a more modern look, compared to the classic sailor idea we all have of stripes. Picking bold colored stripes can be an idea. If not, you could go for a pretty basic stripe, and add a bold colored item to your look, either a purse, jacket, or scarf.
Here are some pieces that you might want to consider, in order to get started in your stripy journey!
As I get other "Trends" articles up, I'll create a look showing you how you can mix all these popular Spring and Summer trends. Hope you enjoyed this!

A little something to sleep on tonight...
"The best blush to use is laughter. It puts roses in your cheeks and in your soul."
- Linda Knight
For all of you going through a rough day. Go watch your favorite movie (unless it's Titanic & you're heartbroken), go spend time with your loved ones. There's no point in reflecting and going over all the negative thoughts you have in your mind. Our thoughts can be our biggest enemy. Life keeps moving, going forward, & so should you. If you can manage to think happily, then that's how you will feel and look. Happy will make you more beautiful. That was my makeup tip of the day. (:
Drugstore Wishlist (March '11)
So, I've been kinda broke for a while now, and haven't really been able to buy lots of new makeup. Don't get me wrong, I do have enough makeup to survive, but I do want to try some new things. By the way, my empty bank account is the reason behind my really similar monthly favorites videos. I've been using the same products for months! If you want to, check out my latest February Favorites!
So, here's some things I wish to test out ASAP!
Physician's Formula - Happy Booster Blush! Not only is this GORGEOUS, but it's supposed to boost your mood. I don't know if that's true, but the packaging is too cute to not be happy while applying it! This shade is Rose, but they also have Natural. |
Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss! I've heard these stay on really well and aren't too sticky. Plus, it's a pretty big size of tube! Want it! This shade is Peach Petal, and it looks awesome! |
Garnier - Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller I have pretty good skin and my only problem is dark circles. I'd really love to try this out and see what it does to them! It's also a bit pigmented, so it's supposed to cover them. |
Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets While I thought I had mostly dry skin, I realized I was actually more of a combination skin type. My T-zone can get a bit shiny throughout the day, especially since I've been using a rich cream to help the flakiness on the rest of my face. This is going to be a must! Especially as it gets hotter. |
Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One Mascara I reeeeally want to try this one. I've been loving The Falsies but I wonder how this works. The brush looks awesome! |
Covergirl - Look Clean Pressed Powder For my oily tendency... And for setting foundation! |
L'Oréal Paris - Elnett Satin Hairspray I've been wanting to style my hair more lately, which is something I don't usually do. I just leave my hair down naturally. So many "gurus" speak so highly of this that I must give it a try. However, I really wanna try the small bottle first, which I haven't found yet. |
L'Oréal Paris -True Match Concealer I've recently purchased the True Match Foundation & I'm in love. So I gotta try out their concealer, especially since I'm running low on my favorite one! |
Anyways, I think that's about it for now. I'll do more wishlists if anything else comes in mind!
QUESTION: What do you think of these products? Any other recommendations for drugstore products I should try?
