Embrace the Stripes!

Hello fashion slaves!
I'm going to be doing a couple of articles labelled as "Trends", which will include popular styles of makeup or clothes. You might see similar articles all over the Internet, since I get my ideas from magazines and celebs. I'm not coming up with this, duh!

Today's trend that will be discussed is...stripes!
This trend can be kinda difficult to pull off, but I'll give you some pointers!
  • If you are very "flat" and don't have a lot of curves, going for larger, horizontal stripes will help add a bit of curves to your body.
  • If you are very curvy, large horizontal stripes might make you look too roundish. You might want to consider thiner stripes, and perhaps vertical or asymmetrical.
  • If you feel like stripes might expose too many aspects you consider as the "flaws" of your body (maybe big curves, or extra unwanted weight), you could always go for a more flowy piece, that won't reveal too much of that.
With that said, you can play with the stripes in order to get a more modern look, compared to the classic sailor idea we all have of stripes. Picking bold colored stripes can be an idea. If not, you could go for a pretty basic stripe, and add a bold colored item to your look, either a purse, jacket, or scarf.
Here are some pieces that you might want to consider, in order to get started in your stripy journey!
